Faithful Through Every Season

It is with deep gratitude and admiration that we share that one of our very own, Senior Legal Counsel Julianne Fleischer, has been selected to serve with the United States Department of Justice. Julianne has served Advocates for Faith & Freedom with excellence, conviction, humility, and courage, bringing both legal skill and a deep love for the Lord to every case entrusted to her. While we will miss her greatly, we are honored to celebrate this next chapter in her calling and grateful for the lasting impact she has made through this ministry. Below is a personal message from Julianne:

Julianne Fleischer
Senior Legal Counsel

Before I started law school, I sat down with a dear mentor who told me something that has stayed with me ever since: your career will be more than just a job. It will be your mission field.

While I had not been called overseas, the Lord was calling me into a profession filled with its own brokenness, challenges, and people in need of hope. From that moment on, every decision I made was shaped by one question: What ministry does the Lord have for me where He has placed me?

I could not have imagined then that the Lord would open a door combining both law and ministry, allowing me not only to serve clients, but also to represent Jesus Christ in courtrooms, conversations, and some of the most difficult cultural battles of our time.

When I joined Advocates for Faith & Freedom, our nation was in the midst of the COVID-19 era. Hundreds of people were desperately searching for legal help as they faced impossible choices: lose their jobs or violate their sincerely held religious beliefs. Pastors and churches were being targeted for remaining open. Families had lost livelihoods.

At the same time, harmful ideologies were rapidly infiltrating classrooms and threatening God’s design for our children and families. At the time, there was an urgent need for attorneys willing to stand in the gap (and arguably, that need still exists today). I knew the Lord was opening a door I had long prayed for. It was an opportunity to serve in the very areas He had placed so deeply on my heart: defending the freedom of people of faith to boldly proclaim the Gospel without government interference, protecting the God-created distinctions between boys and girls, and standing against the harmful ideologies targeting children today.

Month in Review:

  • Argued before the Ninth Circuit in a landmark vaccine exemption case
  • Secured a successful hearing defending housing protections for individuals in recovery
  • Filed injunction seeking to restore and protect parental rights in California

Every day at Advocates, we face cultural giants, government agencies, powerful institutions, and attorneys from some of the nation’s largest law firms. Yet, time and again, we witness the Lord’s faithfulness. He gives our team wisdom, discernment, courage, and perseverance to provide excellent legal advocacy for our clients.

The Lord has richly blessed me through this role.

Serving at Advocates for Faith & Freedom has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am deeply grateful for this team, for the friendships formed, and for the trust our clients placed in us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. It has been a privilege to stand beside them and fight for their constitutional and religious freedoms.

While my role may be changing, the mission remains the same: to faithfully serve the Lord and boldly stand for truth wherever He has placed us. I leave with full confidence that Advocates for Faith & Freedom will continue standing courageously for faith, freedom, and the clients God has called this ministry to serve.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, encouragement, and faithful support of this ministry and its mission.

In His Service,

Julianne Fleischer
Senior Legal Counsel
