California's Life Ending Mandates Bleed Onto College Campuses
While forthright governors in states like Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio and Utah are signing “Heartbeat” bills and limiting abortions to the first trimester, three Democrat governors in California, Oregon and Washington have signed a joint letter, encouraging the rest of the states to join them in passing much stronger laws against restricting abortions.
Using carefully chosen buzzwords like “equality”, “health”, “choice”, “liberty”, “freedom”, rights”, these west coast governors claim is that those life-protecting states are enacting extreme laws that undermine a women’s access to safe and legal “healthcare”, which Is nonsense.
California’s far-left Governor Gavin Newsom also issued a Proclamation ensuring abortion is a “fundamental right” in his state, as the governor officially welcomed women seeking abortions to come to California!
Since our defeat of California's Reproductive FACT Act, it does seem we have seen fewer anti-life bills. However, they may have just switched tactics. The California Democrats’ wrath against life in the womb of young pregnant mothers persists with SB 24, which will require the states’ public universities to distribute Chemical Abortion Pills to college students up to ten weeks of pregnancy. The California State Assembly Health Committee Members will take up this vote on the morning of Tuesday, June 11.
If you are able to call these committee members and urge them to “please Vote NO on SB 24”, their information below has been assembled for us by Wynette Sills with Californians for Life:
Assembly Member Miguel Santiago, Democrat Catholic from Los Angeles who once studied for the Priesthood, but has a pro-abortion voting record. (916) 319-2053
Assembly Member Monique Limon, Democrat Catholic from Santa Barbara, Ventura area, endorsed by Planned Parenthood. (916) 319-2037

As you can see, we still have an uphill battle with the sheer numbers of pro-abortion activists in the Democrat Party who are aligned with Planned Parenthood, especially in California, but Americans as a whole are moving in our direction. The remarkable science of ultrasounds, fetal monitoring and embryology continue to prove undeniably that the mother's womb contains, not just a human life, but a tiny, precious, pre-born baby.
Always keeping this in mind, Advocates attorneys continue to track and investigate the constitutionality of the anti-life bills some of these states are mandating.
Along with our other religious liberty cases, we are grateful for your financial support to our ministry as we defend the rights of the unborn, not only for pro-life pregnancy clinics, but now on our college campuses, too!
