Senior Legal Counsel
Shea Hasenauer
Having a love for God from his earliest years, Shea Hasenauer surprisingly received the calling to law during his last year at Cornell University. He enrolled in the Ave Maria School of Law, in Florida, which was founded by Mr. Tom Monaghan, who was raised by Nuns at Saint Joseph’s Orphanage alongside Shea’s grandfather, who is also named Tom. Shea worked at the Alabama Supreme Court and United States District Court during law school and graduated Salutatorian with the school’s highest honor: The Mary Queen of Lawyers Award.
In his first decade of practice, Shea delved into all forms of civil litigation, including property, contract, business, estate, and employment litigation, as well as class actions at both large and small law firms. He successfully tried multiple jury cases and litigated in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Tennessee Court of Appeals. The Tennessee Supreme Court has named Shea an Attorney for Justice multiple times and Mid-South Super Lawyers named him a Rising Star.
Shea is very thankful to help with cases that affect the promulgation of the Gospel, Justice, and Family Life in our country and throughout the world. Superb instruction in Constitutional Law was his main motivation for attending Ave Maria and something he receivedthere. Shea loves the Word of God, is thrilled to worship God, serve others, and learn Spanish at Our Lady of Guadalupe parish, and thanks God every day for the gift of his family.
Shea Hasenauer is admitted to the Tennessee and Florida Bars, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee; United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
