Since Santa Clara County sued Pastor Mike McClure and his church for defying their arbitrary COVID-19 orders, Pastor Mike McClure and his church have been fined almost $3 million! That's over 100 times the penalties any other County has charged. We are moving forward aggressively in this case and are currently engaged in a discovery battle to uncover the lack of scientific evidence to support the underlying public health orders.

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors dismissed the lawsuit they filed against Godspeak Calvary Chapel! We also have a lawsuit against the county that we will continue to pursue, forcing   them to provide the real justification behind the infringement on the religious liberty of thousands of people. The superior court dismissed our case as “moot” because the county lifted the church closure orders. We appealed the dismissal because we are still entitled to a judgment on the case even though churches are currently allowed to be open. Our opening brief is due on February 24, 2022.
