Sam Kane
Legal Counsel
Sam obtained his degree in political science from Indiana Wesleyan University where he also minored in economics. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Regent University School of Law. While at Regent Law, he served as a staff editor on the Law Review and as a board member on the Moot Court Board. Sam also interned in South Korea at Handong International Law school, working with a local women’s shelter to help facilitate international adoptions. Sam received the Ronald L. Fick Book Award for the highest grade his Intellectual Property and Business Analytics and Finance classes. He also received the school’s Corporate, Commercial, and Transactional law award for academic excellence and a commitment to Christian leadership in the field.
Following graduation, Sam clerked for Judge Paul Roetman in Alaska’s Second District Superior Court where he also acted as a deputy magistrate. He then clerked for Judge Clinton Canady III in Ingham County Circuit Court in Michigan. Following his clerkships, Sam worked as an associate attorney at Vandeveer Garzia, P.C., where his practice focused on catastrophic first-party automobile claims, personal injury, and insurance claims.
After work, Sam enjoys participating in ultra marathons–recently completing the Leadville Trail 100 run–as well as playing soccer, learning Korean, and cooking.
