As we enter the Thanksgiving season, our hearts are full–and resolute. This year marks a defining moment not only in our ongoing legal work, but in the very life of our ministry. Advocates for Faith & Freedom is celebrating 20 years of defending religious liberty, championing truth, and standing unapologetically in the public square for the for the God-given rights of His people!
And in this milestone year, God delivered one of the most powerful legal victories in our organization’s history.
Total Vindication: Calvary Christian Academy vs. the State of California In November of 2021, armed agents raided Calvary Christian School, executing an illegal search warrant, interrogating staff, and manufacturing allegations against the school. Four months later, the State of California's Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) slapped the Christian School with citations totaling over $67,000 for alleged COVID-19 violations. After years of fighting for the school's religious liberty and freedoms from this abuse of government power, Advocates for Faith and Freedom has handed the State of California exactly what it deserves: a total defeat.
The official OSHA Settlement Order makes it clear that the State has no findings of wrongdoing, no grounds for further enforcement, and no remaining claims. The Christian school stands fully vindicated.
This triumph is not isolated. It joins a long line of victories God has granted throughout our history. And as we look back on twenty years of defending the faithful, we recognize that victories like this are signs of His unchanging faithfulness.
Twenty Years of God’s Faithfulness This year is not simply important. It is monumental. Two decades ago, Advocates for Faith & Freedom began as a small, determined legal ministry with a simple mission: protect the constitutional rights of believers and ensure that the Church would never be forced into silence. Over the years, God expanded this mission, strengthened our team, multiplied our victories, and raised up supporters who lock arms with us for the sake of truth.

We are honored to announce that Pastor Rob McCoy will be our Keynote Speaker. Known for his bold biblical clarity, unwavering courage, and national leadership in the face of government pressure, Pastor McCoy embodies the conviction that has defined our work for twenty years.

As we look back on all that God has brought us through this year, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude. We give thanks for the complete vindication of Calvary Christian Academy, for the courage of pastors, educators, and families who stand unshaken in the face of cultural pressure, and for the privilege of defending biblical truth in a state that grows increasingly hostile toward people of faith.

As a nonprofit legal ministry, every victory is made possible by your partnership. Your prayers uphold our team. Your generosity fuels our litigation. Your steadfast friendship strengthens our resolve. Every case we win, every family we defend, and every freedom we protect is the direct result of people like you who believe in this mission and invest in it faithfully.
God has shown extraordinary favor over these past twenty years, and the triumph in this recent case is yet another reminder that He protects His people and honors those who stand for truth.
Looking Ahead Even as we celebrate, we remain sober-minded. The attacks on religious liberty, parental rights, biblical education, and constitutional freedoms are intensifying. The work before us requires clarity, courage, and the unwavering conviction that truth must be defended regardless of the cost.
Advocates for Faith & Freedom will continue to stand at the front lines with determination and prayerful dependence on God. And we stand there because you stand with us.
